AChurchNearYou.com is a Church of England website, which helps people find a local CofE church, wherever they are located. The website lists 16,500 churches and cathedrals in England, 4,700 church schools, as well as churches across our Diocese in Europe.
Every Church of England church has a free listing on the site, which effectively gives them a free website, if they want to use it.
And the site is being used. The number of page visits leapt by 55% from 128.1 million in 2023 to 198.6 million in 2024, and users shared a total of 11,733 church services and events from AChurchNearYou.com on social media last year – a 268% increase on 2023.
The Church of England’s Head of Digital, Amaris Cole, said: “We’re delighted that more people than ever are looking for a local church via our church-finder tool, AChurchNearYou.com…….Our churches regularly report newcomers who have found them through the site”.
