Last night St George’s welcomed a group of Roman Catholic seminarians from all over Spain, who are here in Malaga on a course at the Diocesan House of Spirituality. One of the topics covered by the course is ecumenism, and, instead of just learning about Anglicanism in the classroom, they had come to see us for themselves.
The group, which was organised by Gloria Uribe, Director of the Ecumenical Centre, Lux Mundi, heard Fr Hilary talk about the origins and character of Anglicanism and Churchwarden Caroline explain the history of the Cemetery and lead a small tour.
Also with the group was Archbishop Joan Enriq Vives, Bishop Emeritus of Urgell and a member of the Spanish Catholic Episcopal Commission for clergy and seminarians (standing next to Fr Hilary in the back row of the picture above).
