Yesterday I went to a coffee and cakes morning, organised by Age in Spain in Iznájar in conjunction with a local bar. The idea was to create an easy drop in meeting place, with a speaker, where anyone felt they could come along and meet other people.
It was the third in a series. There were 14 people there, most of whom I knew and some at least I knew lived alone. The speaker was David Frank, an English guy who is a member of the Iznájar Town Council, who gave an engaging presentation on how the Council works and how it felt to join it as an expat. We enjoyed coffee, cake and company, and asked lots of questions.
It was a relaxed atmosphere, people clearly enjoyed it and stayed to chat afterwards.
I wonder if we should do something like this in Málaga?
