83.7% of Spaniards believe there will be more robots replacing workers, and 45.3% think there will be a shortage of jobs, according to the results of a recent survey by the Spanish Centro de Investigaciones Sociologicas (CIS).
In a globalised society where technology connects the entire world, 79.4% of Spaniards think there will be more isolation and loneliness, and more than half believe they will have less contact with their family than they do now. 64.4% think there will be more divorces or separations in the next ten years.
Concerned? Yes, but only if we do nothing. Surely with these results in front of us, we can begin to find ways to address this scenario. The church is well placed to do this, as a community that welcomes others, the shares a forward and positive vision of what this world could be, and that has all sorts of voluntary roles for people with time on their hands!
