Chaplaincy Safeguarding Policy Statement
Safeguarding Policies for Málaga, Salinas, Vélez-MálagaWhy we do Safeguarding?
Safeguarding is at the heart of our Christian faith. We believe that we are each uniquely made in the image of God and restored to life in its fullness through Jesus Christ. Safeguarding is the mechanism by which we promote a safe culture so that we can live out that belief within the life of our Chaplaincy.
It involves not only protecting those that are at risk but also actively promoting the welfare of all in our care – children, young people and adults. It impacts how we recruit, the environment we create, the pastoral care we offer, the records we keep, and the way we respond to complaints.
Our Safeguarding Policy Statement is regularly reviewed, updated and signed by the Chaplain and Wardens, and displayed prominently at all our churches. Names and contact details of Clergy, Wardens and the Safeguarding Officer are displayed both on the Policy Statement and on this website.
