According to Sur, the Port of Malaga is ending the year on a high, with its best ever performance in key indicators, making it the fifth port in Spain with the greatest year on year increase (at 36.6%) in connectivity for the import and export of goods worldwide.
Other ports also increased in this respect, but not by so much. According to the latest Port Connectivity Index report by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the growth in Malaga is followed by Las Palmas (28.7%, ranked in fourth position); Vigo (14.2%, sixth); Castellón (0.47%, ninth) and Valencia (0.4%, top).
