The charity Age in Spain supports elderly English speakers here in Spain so that they can fulfilling lives, no matter the challenges they face. With an army of dedicated and experienced volunteers, they provide personalised support and practical tools to help people plan ahead and embrace life in Spain with confidence.
Their team was well represented at our Gala Night on 4 June, and national President, Marijke Cazemier (on the right of the picture above), gave an interview. Following the event, they posted the above appreciation for being able to attend and for the possibility of working with St George’s in the future.
Where Age in Spain is strong at the national level and have a range of products and methodologies to support elderly and lonely English speakers, they are less strong at the local level and are interested in working with churches to share their knowledge and product range, while equipping us to increase the professionalism with which we, as a church, can support people in need here in Malaga and surrounding areas.
We are delighted they were able to attend and take part in the Gala Dinner and look forward to closer working in the future.
