Yesterday, on behalf of the Bishop in Europe, Fr Louis, as Area Dean, had the privilege of licensing Fr Denis as Chaplain of the Anglican Chaplaincy of Costa Almeria and Costa Calida.
The Chaplaincy has been through a very long vacancy, ably served by committed locum priests and dedicated laypeople.
This is not the first time Frs Louis and Denis have met. 20 years ago Louis was Fr Denis´ curate at the church of St John the Divine Kennington, and learnt much of the trade of being a parish priest from him.
Together with Fr Louis, the clergy of the Southern Spain and Gibraltar cluster wish to extend a warm welcome to Fr Denis and Alan.
