The latest word from ADIF seems to be that the high speed line to Madrid will be back open by the end of this month, according to a report in Sur. As you will know, this has not been possible since mid-January, following a land slide near to Álora.
Head of ADIF, Pedro Marco de la Peña, said a month or so ago that the service would resume “no earlier than the last week of April” and promised he would review the date every two weeks, to check progress.
Sur have also reported that ADIF has informed private train operators that they can start selling tickets for the reopening on Monday, 27 April. So maybe this is really going to happen!
