British journalist John Pienaar, who rose to fame in 2015 when he was appointed Deputy Political Editor of BBC News, is speaking at St George’s on Friday September 11th.
His role at BBC News, from 2015 to 2020, was very quickly dominated by the Brexit referendum in 2016, the campaigning beforehand and the subsequent political turmoil, making him a familiar face and a trustworthy presence.
A regular visitor to Malaga, John has chosen the title for his address, “The State of the World”. He will speak for 45 minutes after which there will be a Question and Answer session. We welcome him warmly.
John’s address will starts at 8pm, Friday 11th September. Gates & bar are open from 7.30pm. Tickets €20.
