A group of young Spanish Musicians, the award-winning Ganymede Ensemble, will be giving a concert of Christmas music at St George’s, Malaga at the English Cemetery on 7th December 2024.

The concert starts at 8pm but drinks and refreshments will be available from 7.30pm.

They will be performing a varied repertoire of songs in English and Spanish, containing old favourites like God rest ye merry gentlemen as well as the less well known songs such as a Huron carol Twas the Moon in Wintertime.

The Ganymede Ensemble:

The Ensemble was formed in October 2020. Despite only being recently founded, the group already has extensive experience in Choral singing. Its members have advanced musical studies in fields like piano, violin, and music education, as well as experience in choral conducting and classical singing.

Marina Montero Ogalla, soprano:

Graduated in Music History and Sciences from the University of Granada. Currently pursuing advanced music studies with a specialization in Pedagogy, alongside Professional Studies in Voice. She has been part of various choirs and vocal ensembles.

Beatriz González González, alto:

Studied piano and voice at the Manuel Carra Professional Conservatory. As well as singing in numerous vocal ensembles she has composed and sung many of her own songs and released two albums to date.

Alberto Jaenal Gálvez, tenor

He earned his professional degree in violin in 2012 and has since performed with various youth orchestras while continuing his musical education in multiple areas.

Pablo Antonio Fernández Torres, baritone

A pianist trained at the Málaga Conservatory of Music, he furthered his piano studies at the Galamian International Academy and at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, Poland. He has also attended master classes with many prominent artists.  He has performed in piano and chamber music concerts at venues like the María Cristina Hall, the Cervantes Theatre, and the Echegaray Theatre in Málaga, as well as in Chipiona and Jerez (Cádiz).
