The Catholic Union of Great Britain has launched a Guide for Catholics planning to vote in the UK’s General Election on July 4th. It contains suggested questions for UK Catholics to ask candidates in their local constituency, under the 5 headings – care for the vulnerable, religious freedom, family life, education and dignity of life.

The Guide follows the result of a survey conducted by the Union earlier this year which found that 90% of respondents were planning to vote, a figure much higher than the national average, and 92% of those said the way the voted was influenced by their faith.
