Online architecture magazine, Dezeen, has reported on a leak from LEGO® to the effect that it will release a model of the Sagrada Familia basilica in Barcelona, and that this will be the largest set ever made.
Release is expected this year to coincide with completion of the basilica and with the 100th anniversary of Gaudí’s death.
According to the leak, the LEGO® version of the Sagrada Familia will consist of 12,060 pieces, bigger than the current largest set, the Art World Map, which has 11,695 pieces.
