Tomorrow, 5th June is World Environment Day, when people are encouraged to focus on actions to protect the environment. World Environment Day is supported by many non-governmental organisations, businesses and government entities, and represents the UN’s primary outreach day supporting the environment.
This year’s theme is ending plastic pollution. For decades, plastic pollution has seeped into every corner of the world, leaching into the water we drink, the food we eat, and our bodies. And yet, while plastic pollution is a major concern, it is also one of the most fixable of today’s environmental challenges, with some obvious solutions at hand.
Here in Malaga, there will be a presentation at the Provincial Library, including stories by students of the writing workshop ‘On the Leaves of the Planet’, led by Diego Tomé, beginning at 11am, in Spanish. More information about activities in Andalucia here.
